Privacy Policy
Effective August 2, 2026 · Last updated August 2, 2026
Unblend (“the app”) treats your personal information with care. This policy sets out what the app handles and, just as importantly, what it does not.
1. In one line
Photos and videos never leave your device. Color correction runs entirely on your device, and the app has no server and no account of its own. To keep the app free it does show ads, and the ad service collects an advertising identifier and related information.
2. What the app does not collect
- Photos and videos. The photos you choose and the camera feed are processed only on the device. They are never transmitted or stored anywhere else.
- Self-check results. The type and correction strength you choose are stored only on the device.
- Account information. There is no sign-up. The app does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
- Location. Not collected.
3. Information collected through advertising
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. In the course of this, Google and its partners may collect and use the following.
- An advertising identifier (IDFA or a substitute identifier)
- Device information (model, operating system version, language, approximate region)
- Ad interaction records such as impressions and clicks
- IP address
This is used to serve ads, measure their performance, and prevent click fraud. It does not include your photos, your videos, or your self-check results.
For details on how Google handles this data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Your choices
On iOS, the app asks for permission before it accesses the advertising identifier. Declining changes nothing about what the app can do for you; you simply see non-personalized ads instead.
- You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- In Europe and other applicable regions, a consent flow provided by the Google User Messaging Platform is shown as well, and you can revisit your consent from inside the app.
- With the ad-free subscription, no ads are shown and none of the ad-related collection above takes place.
5. Device permissions
- Camera. Used to show the live corrected view. What the camera sees never leaves the device.
- Add to Photos. Used only to save a corrected photo to your library. The app never requests permission to read your library; you pick photos through the picker that iOS provides.
You can withdraw either permission at any time in iOS Settings.
6. Retention and deletion
The settings the app keeps on your device are deleted along with the app. How long information collected through advertising is retained is governed by Google’s policies.
7. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app is operated from the Republic of Korea, where the applicable threshold is under 14 years of age. Where the law of your country of residence sets a higher age for children’s data protection — for example under the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation — that higher standard applies to you.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with the date of the change. Significant changes are also announced inside the app.
9. Language
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Korean version is the original, and in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Korean version prevails.
